CESE reasserts its commitment to the indigenous cause

CESE reasserts its ecumenical commitment to the indigenous cause and the challenge for the churches to be present in limit situations for rights and the defence of life.  To this end, it has sought to strengthen and provide visibility to indigenous peoples in their fight for the right to their territory and the free manifestation of their culture by organizing ecumenical missions and conducting advocacy activities around the country.  Over the last 15 years, it has supported approximately 500 projects aimed at strengthening the indigenous cause, because it understands the importance of resistance to the massacres suffered by these people and the urgency of mobilizations for the defence of their territory.
