Ancestry, identity, renewal, and grassroots struggle. These are some strategic points that the Movimenta Juventude collective, from the Quilombola Community of Lagoa Grande in Feira de Santana’s rural areas (BA), has aiming to link up in order to strengthen youth organizations in their territory.
With enthusiasm and dedication, the group is preparing for the ‘I Pre-Youth Journey,’ an event scheduled for 6-9 June, aimed at strengthening community identity and expanding the struggle for grassroots sovereignty. Supported by CESE, the gathering arises from the need to involve young people in the Quilombola community’s political activities and debates.
